Mike, if you read my post you'll see that I acknowledge both words have gambling-oriented meanings.
But, they have DIFFERENT meanings.
Please post the link to the genii website topic.

its probably just a mispronounciation that has taken on a new meaning...
maybe it was originally shark, then someone called it sharp accidentally, then they both became words with slightly different meanings.
hmmm.... modern day version....
got one!
own and pwn
pwn was a typo of the word own, that is now used to descirbe a different type of owning. Like totally schooling someone is pwning them. |

Holy crap, magicians get so tense over the stupidest things. Calm down the language, all of you. _________________ "I lost a bundle of hundred dollar bills in an elastic".

There's only one person who has technically used bad language and it was only a pseudo swear.
And Liam, I thin it's best to at least really read and consider what Ben has written... he has a vast amount of knowledge about these things, more than most of the members here. ESPECIALLY when it comes to cards.
Ok, so Ben is in fact correct... although one has been around longer, they both exist and both have different definitions although they both reference exceedingly sharp skill with a deck of cards. _________________ Michael Kras

Agreed. He'll treat learning like magic bootcamp and that's the way it should be. We should be working for our knowledge and listening intently when knowledge comes. Most of us are students, and one of the most important lessons Ben has taught me is that it is not the student's job to teach. _________________ Michael Kras

Quick note-
I'm not, in any way, upset. I just wanted to see if posting mother****ing would get me in trouble...
testing the waters of the forum...
I'll make it simple-
Shark is a good player. Sharp is a cheat. I'd rather be the former...
