i'm with reuben on this one
the stuff on there is really unnesicarily difficult
like tivo 2.0
the one you did on westmount magic was so much easier, but accomplished the same effect.
and when presenting their trick they just explain what you can see
thats what your eyes are for, not your ears.
its only impressive for magicians, because you know they are pulling off uber sleights, but for laypeople they just get bored.

and it IS shark

It's SHARP! I own books written by cardsharps with the word Cardsharp in the title! Cardshark is known as the mispronounciation of Cardsharp and it's a known fact that although both are in today's editions of the dictionary, the word Cardshark only made it in to the dictionary in it's third reprint.

Except you're wrong.

Sharp referes to the greek name for cheats.  In Robert Houdins seminal book on the subject, Sharps and Flats, the sharp was the guy who could manipulate the deck to give him an advantage.  A modern term might be mechanic.

A SHARK, on the other hand, refers to someone with serious playing ability, the kind of guy who can bust you with superior play technique.  Phil Hellmouth, or Doyle Brunson, is considered a shark ('cause they'll take a bite out of your stack...)

Now, saying that, the phrase Card SHARK is more recognizable, and may be more appropriate for patter possabilities when talking about cheating/gambling.

Ben
p.s.
If anyone has any CREDIBLE information to contradict me, please let me know.  I love to learn.
p.p.s.
Sorry for the crappy spelling- I'm in a rush.

Check out the Genii forums. There is a discussion there that proves both are correct.
