Your Favourite Stage Illusion?Ok, I will admit that I really don't like illusions... actually, you could say I hate them! But there is one illusion, and only one, that I like a lot. That illusion is the Metamorphosis. Genuine magic without some suspicious piece of apparatus to accompany it. Just a big crate, some wrist shackles and some mind-bending magic.
What are your favourite stage illusions? Why do you like them so much? Whose rendition of that illusion do you prefer?

One of my favourite illusions that Robyn and I do would be Metamorphosis and I love Greg Frewins rendition on it with 'Shrouded Transition"
Also love (in no order) Zig-Zag, Copperfields Voyur, Dekolta Bench, broom suspension....
Anyone else?

Copperfield's version of metamorphosis that I saw him do live about six years ago was absolutely fantastic. He was shackled, locked and such into a box that was then raised ten feet into the air on one side of the stage. Some pretty assistant stood on the other side on top of a box, obviously, and did the change. The box was lowered and of course pretty assistant was in locked up in it instead of David. I loved it.
EDIT: I just found this http://youtube.com/watch?v=oiVkB_j1Pg8 which is roughly what I saw. It was done further apart on stage and used shackles instead of sheets, but you can get the idea. Astonishing.
