The Noblezada ExperienceThis past weekend was, without a doubt, the most fun and educating three days I have spent with magic. Jay is one of the most friendly people you will ever meet. When I told him that I was arriving early he gave me his phone number so that when i arrived we could hang out. He also answered all the questions I had about Vegas and magic.
Now lets move onto friday, the first day of magic. As I mentioned above, I arrived early. I headed down to find the room about an hour early to find the room, but instead ran into some other magicians who I sessioned with till Jay arrived. After he arrived more people started arriving. Not many, it was a very intamate weekend, but about twenty. The ages ranged all the way from 13 to 71, so everyone fit in somewhere. Then we introduced ourselfs and carried onto some more sessioning before Oz Pearlman.
When he arrived, he lectured for about 3 hours. Not a second of it boring. We learned so much, like card tricks, things from 21st century phantom, and even how to pronounce his first name! After this, Morgan Strebbler showed up just to hand, and Jay got us all a copy of his lecture notes. Then we sessioned till it was time to sleep.
Saturday was crazy. We started at nine. It started with us meeting Paul Draper. He told us some funny stories, helped our presentation, and even sung to us. He showed us the most entertaining linking ring routine any of us had ever seen. And it only used two rings!
Then we headed out for a free lunch at Harrahs Cafe. Just great. Then we headed out to everyones favourite show in vegas, The Mac King Show. We watched this hours of this hilarious and magical show, then after words we had some Q&A with Mac. Great fun.
When we get back its time for a "To Be Announced" special guest. We catch a glimps of this MoHawked magician, but then are kicked out the the room to preform for about fifteen minutes. When we come back in, he introduces himself as Paul Vigil. The half of us who knew who he was were amazed to meet him. Then he went into his crazy routine and flattened almost every magician in the room. Then he tought us how to do it.
We had a break, then returned for the Morgan Strebbler lecture. Morgan doesnt lecture. The only place he has ever lectured was the previous noblezada experience. He started by showing us liquid metal and the closer. Then he moved onto showing us the material on his up coming DVD on touches. Some brilliant stuff there.
We proceeded to catch a limo to hooters to go see "The Mentalist", who has some amazing work. Then he came to eat dinner with us at Harrahs Buffet. After dinner, many of us were ready to perform. So thats what we did, we branched off into groups and showed some magic around the hotel. Then we sessioned till early the next morning.
Later that next morning we met Hon Wong and Gordon. An amazing sight to see, this father son duo of hypnotist, had Jay in a trance as soon as they wanted. They tought us how to do the same! They even cured someones fear of spiders, and someones stage fright.
Then we met the head of penguin magic, Maxwell! He tought us exactly how to get tricks published and even featured on the front page! Some very, VERY usefull information for anyone who has ever created a trick.
Then we met Tyas Frantz. He told us how to get booked, step by step, and how to get paid as much as possible. With his methods, I dont think any gig is out of my reach.
Then I unfortunatly had to leave an hour early. When I told Jay this he was INCREADIBLY generous. Just take my word on it.
In conclusion, this weekend was amazing. I learned more in the past three days then i had learned in the 8 months that preceeded it. I met some amazing people. Learned some amazing tricks. Learned SO MUCH about presentation. Never a dull moment. Worth quadruple the price. The things you learn here you will never learn on a dvd.

In my opinion, Vigil is better than The Bucks any day. If you find out why the Bucks didn't show, please let us know!

apparently one of the bucks just left a message on jay cell that said
"we got busy"
hardly an excuse, and not even an apology
