Self Levitation

Ahh... the classic of street magic. The ability to lift oneself in the air without any visible means of support, therefore suspended in midair. The enternal quest for the perfect levitation, I feel, may soon be over as there are so many new ones coming out at the speed of a bullet train!

Let's discuss self levitations! Anything old, new, gimmicked, impromptu, good, bad, anything! I have personally created Air Step, a totally impromptu self levitation with no height or angle restrictions whatsoever.. but more on that later. In the mean time, feel free to discuss:

Balducci Levitation
The Elevator
King Rising
Gravitate
FLY
Skywalker
On Thin Air
ETC ETC

I'd like to start by saying a few words about Skywalker. It does look very good and I am extremely intrigued by it. It looks spectacular and for $25 measly dollars how can you go wrong? Anyone own this? Your thougths on it?

Let's discuss levitating!

I wait until people are drunk, then I just rise up on my toes while they look me in the eye. Works like a charm, and a lot cheaper than anything on the market. Twisted Evil

I will be getting my copy of Skywalker tomorrow and will tell you all how it is ASAP!

Alright, just got my Skywalker pamphlet, and here are some brief thoughts on it:

While I HATE making gimmicks, especially difficult ones, this is a gimmick I will actually consider making. All of the previous claims about it are true. No funny moves, you just go straight up as high as your gimmick will let you go.

There are VERY wide viewing angles limited only to the immediate behind, and there are really no flaws to this other than the fact this gimmick will be akward to walk in and, in the first stages, will hurt A LOT!

However, the gimmick is very clever and the method to the effect is very interesting as well, such a different concept. I love it!

I am making my Skywalker right now, and it is coming along very well! Of course it's a pain in the butt, but it will be well worth it.

lol, I've never thought of that before. Good idea.

I bought a copy of Skywalker when it was released. I assumed it would be another re-vamped Balducci like Anti-gravity was, but it was alot better than I thought it would be.

Though the gimmick isn't really new, it's a cool idea.

One point to mention is that the "you can wear it all day" thing isn't true. Trying to wear the gimmick all day will cause intense pain, throbbing, sore joints, and may have potential long term effects. I suggest making the gimmick in a slightly different way as to avoid these issues.
