When you perform for people, do you tend to pass off what you are doing as being a magical event, or do you use your skills to exhibit impossible yet logical sequences that prove your abilities as a skilled sleight of hand practitioner? For example, Gambling Effects and Card To Pocket may be put either way.

I personally use the magical abilities idea when performing... even during gambling type effects I always non-verbally credit my skills to magic.

However, sometimes when performing certain effects spectators immediately jump to "sleight of hand" conclusions. For example, after having a selected card impossibly appear nipped between your teeth, some spectators may stick with the belief that it arrived there by unseen forces, while others might say "Wow, amazing how he stuck the card up there without us seeing it!"

and others go "but how did you show the this card three times"
