My Latest Effect: THE DESTINY EFFECT

Yesterday, on a Red Bull high, I had what is probably my best idea to date. I call it The Destiny Effect, and here is the effect.

A deck of cards in it's case is in full view. A spectator MERELY THINKS of any card they want. They never name it, not once. They think of it. The cards are fairly removed and spread, each and every card visible. The spectator is asked to remove their thought-of card from the spread. This card is tabled, and immediately upon doing so, the deck is turned over and it is reveal that on the back of every single card, there is a different name written boldly across. David, Megan, Sarah, Brian, and more. Their thought of card is fairly turned over. The spectator's own name is written across the back.

No forcing, no nail writing, no gimmicks, no kidding.

What do you think?
Liam

wow, no forcing?
i need some redbull!

just kidding

but alas on second thought, a method comes to mind.
still sounds great!

good work!
Michael Kras

No nail writing, no forcing, in fact, nothing is written at any point during the effect, even secretly.

Clean, clear, and under control.
Liam

yes, i realise that.
but this could be done with an old method that can be found in M. W. 's compleate corse.

i'll pm you with my guess
Craig Browning

FINALLY!

Ok Michael brace yourself... I'm giving you some kudos here in that this sounds quite original as well as clever... potentially marketable.

If you wish I'd gladly help you out in researching it and seeing if it is viable as a retail product.

As hard as I can be on you I think you know that it's only because I want to help you become "your best"... so what say you, want to move up to the next level and help those that gave you crap eat a bit of crow?
Michael Kras

I never thought I would see the day that you would say that, Craig Smile.

Thank you for the kudos and the offer of help. I would love to have your help on this! I will email a small manuscript detailing the method soon.
Ethan the Emazing

This does sound quite interesting. Keep us updated.
Liam

wow craig likes an idea!
congrats mike!
maybe i have missed judged this. do you flip over their card, or do they flip it over themselves?
to me, i just assumed the preformance would be
they point to the card they were thinking of
you put it ontop
you do the most comun sleight in card magic and voila!
Michael Kras

The card is tabled before it is revealed, so nothing of the sort there. Also, the main event of the effect is the special "system" I developed for it. Thank you for your interest!
