Magicians Who Are Totally Different in PersonOf the famous magicians you have met, who is someone who is totally different in person from when they are performing or when you have seen them before in the media?
One who I met that is very different in person is someone who I just met yesterday... Max Maven. In performance he is an extremely articulate, well-spoken, sophisticated, and prominant figure, but in person he is very laid-back and surprising quite quiet too.

mac king is a very intelligent and conformed man, not the bumbling man he portrays on stage.
And he wears glasses, wich really suits his actual personality but doesnt fit his stage personality.
But apparently he really needs the glasses and has been having more and more trouble performing without them as he can hardly see

Oz Perlman is so different in person!
In his videos you expect him to be serious and sort of solemn, but he is the opposite.
He is extremely friendly, and while he looks tall in his videos, he is actually pretty short. And he has those obscure-color braces... He looks quite a bit younger in person.

Philippart and Anja (Cover and article of MAGIC magazine december 2007).
When working with them, they are extremely professional and hard working, but when we get together for drinks afterwards, they are of the friendliest, kindest, most down to earth people you can meet. I am proud to call them friends.

P&A are craaaaaazy!
Another magician who was not anything like I thought he would be is Richard Sanders. The guy's gotta be just barely pushing 5 feet.

Yeah, Max Maven, who I saw at the Eric Mead lecture this summer, looked like a typical everyday jewish guy who hangs aruond at the local ymca.
