Magic To Get A Date?

Anybody ever use magic as an icebreaker to get a girl's phone number, or just flirt? What effect did you use? What happened?

I once did a slightly flirtatious effect, using a two card transposition basis that never fails. Later, I find out she's my freakin' long-lost cousin, I kid you not.

I always use magic as an ice breaker

And it quite often works.

We don't do this whole date thing in Ireland though.

What do you do in Ireland instead? Marry the person who bumps into you at the grocery store first? Razz

Haa haa, No. In Ireland people are generally of the mindset of meeting someone in the pub and going off with them. If you both enjoy yourselves you do it again.

In both Ireland and the UK there is a very big culture relating to one night stands and the like.

And since most relationships start in the pub where everyone is in a friendly mood anyway, magic works great.

Then again, I'm not one to talked... I'm the one who was attracted to his own cousin  Shocked

That would be a major bummer.

HUGE! I remember a new story about two people, a man and a woman, who had so much in common and felt so connected that, after a year of dating, wedding, and honeymoon, found out they are long-lost twin siblings.

Any stories from you Brian? With you majoring in mathematics I can imagine the girls must be all over you!

Oh yeah - math is totally a chick magnet.  Not.  I do very well for myself though, but I think it's the combination of magic and guitar/music.  What it boils down to is confidence gentlemen - women respond to confidence.  I think?

Brian is right here.

I know when I was younger I was awkward around women and did not know what to say or how to act. But as you get older you eventually figure out that maybe there is something to the whole 'Be yourself' thing. Women appreciate the honesty.

Haa haa, who am I kidding. I lie through me teeth =P
Michael Kras

Yep, confidence is key, and magic helps with confidence immensely, at least for me.

Chicks dig sponge balls.

Well, not to get a girl's number...but I'll just come out and admit that I have.  Laughing

Trust me guys,

Shave a girls back, especially with a sponge razor, and she'll purr like walrus.

Family guy, anybody?
Michael Kras

What's so confusing? It's two girls named Edit.

I have never used magic as a way to get a girl's number. However, I am becoming increasingly more well known in my local area, so lots of girls know me (or at least know of me), and often ask me about my magic etc. Avoiding any awkward introductions etc. It's all a matter of being yourself and being confident guys......................

I got Jay Sankey's Firestarters recently and it has some excellent and ethical stuff in it! Stuff like finding out if she's single, finding out if she's interested, getting her phone number or email via a magic effect (two card transpo anyone?), and so much more. It's just awesome!
