Long Winding Card Tricks

i've started to really like long card tricks. The kind of trick where there is an interesting hook, some amazing magic, but the key is truely connecting with the audience.
Things like Sympathy for the Devil Card by Vigil
or The Frog Prince by Micheal Close
anyone have a suggestion for something like this youd think i'd enjoy?
do you like tricks like this?

Michael Ammar's effect (I don't remember what it is called) about the black and red queens and kings is always fun to perform.

Hey Liam,

you don't want a long winded card trick.  Long winded is bad.  What you seem to want is a more involved, or longer, card trick.  I like to think of those as more "formal" pieces.

There are many- Teddy's suggestion (I assume you mean Twins, is that right?  If so, it's Brother John's not Ammar) is a good one.

But there are a lots of others.  If we meet up I'll be happy to show you one (one day).

I tend to shy away from hugely long performance pieces, particularly because I do not often work in environments that can accomidate them accordingly... if I were to do a long routine, it would be a combination of multiple effects that are partially connected in theme (colour changing backs, etc.)

yes, formal is a much better word Razz
and i will look up the above mentioned effect

I supose i started liking routines like this after seeing Vigil perform for atleast half an hour. By the end everyone in the room felt like a close friend of his, and he had only done three tricks.

There's a right time and place for them, my limit is 5 mins MAX.

I generally don't like them, I love performing them but won't because people want amazement. Short attention spans these days.

Sam the bellhop still rocks my socks. I get asked to perform that all the time from these same people!!!
