Launch Pad: The Ultimate Rising CardI've been working on this bad-boy epic effect for almost two years and it will finally be ready sometime next year. However, before I get too much deeper into everything, I would like your opinions on it. Here is the basic effect:
On the streets, the magician has a card selected and signed by a spectator. Upon losing the card in the deck, the magician stares at it intently until suddenly, a card is seen to be rising out of the deck!!! Even better, the card now clears the deck and is hovering inches above!! Then the kicker that always fries them: The card then slowly levitates over 15 feet in the air above the spectators' heads, the one and only signed card! The card hovers momentarily then makes a slow descent into the magician's awaiting hand. The card uis then immediately given away and examined.
There is a gimmick you will have to make but it involves materials you probably already have. The effect is specifically designed for outdoor conditions as well. Oh, and here are the handlings using the gimmick.
Fallen Leaf: The magician picks a freshly fallen leaf off the ground, and suddenly it begins to twitch. Moments later the leaf actually quickly levitat3es out of the magician's hand and begins frantically flying back up to a tree branch. As soon as it hits the tree branch it IMMEDIATELY HEALS ITSELF BACK ON!
Icarus: Launch Pad with a story line and a nice kicker ending.
JC:LP Coin Vanish: Using the Launch Pad gimmick the magician executes a seamless, clean coin vanish and reproduction.
Wings: The spectator is asked to remove a credit card and hold it between finger and thumb. The magician stands about 10 feet asway and asks ther spectator to let go of the credit card. It is expected to drop, but that is far from the truth. In fact, the card literally FLIES AWAY from the spectator and over to the magician standing 10 feet away! The magician catches the credit card and it is immediately returned to its owner.
Any thoughts?

As with any effect that has such an absurd description, I would need to see it in action. If it really does what you claim, then it's certainly interesting. However I cannot imagine the set-up involved in such an effect and thus, once again, it is not something that would be beneficial to most working pros.

You're correct, this is definitely not a worker;s effect. It's just an effect that hits and hits HARD on a special occasion. The set-up at first may take a bit longer than it should, but after a while of doing it you should get it down to about 2 minutes.

for this one, must you momentarily handle the card before it flying from his hand to yours?

Nice idea, I've seen it printed some where else though. I'm not sure where at the moment.
