If you could....only perform ONE effect, what would it be?

This question is the equivalent of asking: "how happy should I be?"
The answer depends on a variety of factors- audience (age, size, receptiveness, attention), time (are they in a rush? Did they come to see me? Did I intrude on their space?), venue (is it a show with children? a funeral? angle considerations, etc?)- that would effect the answer.

Very intriguing question.... I'd have to go with a simple Key Card location, because it's so flexible and pretty much a standard.

*Raises eyebrow* Really?
I would go with a good Sankey effect...

i would go with an acr because although its the same effect, it has so many little bits in it

Yes, really... just think about how much you could do with such a simple concept! It has a wide range of possibilities. You could do vanishes, inversions, predictions, and even of course just a simple location.

I could NEVER choose only one. I would not be content with only one effect. So I will abstain my vote here.

Two problems with that:
1. a key card is not an effect, it is a method for locating a chosen card
2. finding a chosen card is not actually an effect either.

True enough... then, I suppose, the one effect I'd have to do for the rest of my life is the Cups and Balls, one of my favourites. So many possibilities, very magical, very elegant.
Oh, and welcome to the forums! Why not tell us a bit about yourself in the Introductions forum?

I was going to say that also...
And isn't cups and balls a routine? Making a ball go through a cup or making something appear under a cup is one effect.
