Effects With Coin ShellsHere's the deal.. I just picked up Nate Kranzo's UV Coin Shell (half dollar) one his website and 5 Kennedy Halfs from Ebay.... I am wondering what some good resources for magic involving a shell would be, aside from the bare-handed matrix.
Any suggestions?

The World's Greatest Magic dvd series has one devoted to shells. I don't own the dvd, but I hear that it's terrific. Garrett Thomas contributed his Imagination Coins effect to the dvd, and that routine alone is worth at least $100 alone, if you're willing to master it (trust me).

If you're willing to put in the work, Will Houstoun (English magician) has a three fly that uses a shell and it is a very magical routine. A google search of his name should find his web site if you're interested in it - it's in his lecture notes, which I'm sure he still sells.

Thank you for the references. I also found a wonderful effect by Donny Orbit in his ebook. Just read it again, excellent. It only uses a single coin, the shell, and some tinfoil for a very "Paul Harris" effect. Bascially, you mint an exact replica of your half dollar out of tin foil so it is a real, solid coin, then you take that very same coin and visually scrunch it back into a tin foil ball.
