Day 4- Sunday June 7th, 2009Last night was a late night, so today I decided to take it easy.
I went shopping for some "essentials" (books, shoes, etc) then met up with some friends to see Eric Decamps' show. It was a lot of fun and Mr. Decamps did some fantastic magic in it (I won't ruin it for you by telling you WHAT he did, because you'll see it at C.A.M. or when you go to NY).
Afterwords we all went out to Trailer Park, this fantastic little pub on 23rd and 7th Avenue. It's got the craziest decor, with early 50s horror movie clips in the background, silly photos, and great prices on food and drinks.
From there we headed out to watch game 2 of the NBA finals. If you are a Orlando fan that must have been heartbreaking- so darn close to putting it away in the final .6 seconds. Unfortunately they're down 2-0, and the Lakers are 38 and 1 when they win the first two games of the finals... so... we'll see what happens when it gets back to Orlando.
After that I met up with Josh Jay. We grabbed a quick bite then headed back to his place (that's where I'm crashing for the next few days) to watch some movies and read some books.
That's it for today. I had a fun, relaxing day, and tomorrow I'll be heading to some Museums- can't wait!

I have some questions for Mr. Jay.
I'm planning my own one-man show for next year. I have the basis of the show and a general idea of what material I'd like to use, but nothing is set in stone.
What would the components of a good one-man show be? Does it necessarily have to be fully themed and theatrically driven? Approximately how LONG (time-wise) should a one-man show be? What would a good balance of material be? (The venue I'm going to perform this at is a small, intimate theatre space seating about 60)

Hey Mike,
That's a lot of questions. Josh is currently heading to bed and I don't want to bother him, but I'll ask him some of those tomorrow!
