Close-Up On Stage... Out Of Place?Every illusion show I have ever seen has always had a segment of close up magic with a live video being projected on a large screen. I can understand the change in pace for a moment to a more relaxed show segment, but you feel that close up is out of place in a stage or illusion show? Do you feel it should all be strictly big stuff?

i enjoy these segments!
i think its a nice break, it seems more natural, because oftne with big illusions it just that the big box he gets into is gimmicked. But during the close up segments, i feel there is no were to run and this not only makes those segments great but also makes you wonder about the restof the show

I, too, love those segments, so long as it isn't just randomly dropped in somewhere. Furthermore I'd say that there are some close-up tricks that could easily be adapted to a stage atmosphere with the right adjustments (bigger props, for example). I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I know I've been to shows where this sort of method has been employed.
