Card Effects That Play Well On Stage?

Does anybody know any card effects that play well or can be seen and enjoyed while the effect is being performed on stage? Card work is one of my fortes and I would love to incorporate a little bit into my stage shows.

Thank you!

There's Carl Coutier's card transpo for one. Then you could get Harlan's Stand-up With Cards Show from the "packs small plays big" series.

In my experience, almost any effect will do - assuming you use "Jumbo Pip" bikes.

Of course the invisible deck is always a killer routine from a stage.

Agreed.  It was a staple in my previous stage show for over a year.  You can play it up as a miracle.

i think the Cardiograph would be great.
"A spectator selects a card. The magician begins to draw what he believes will be the selected card on a sketch pad. He reveals his sketch only to be told by the spectator that it is incorrect. He then adds a few lines to the picture and tells the audience that it is really just the deck of cards he was drawing. He tells the spectator to concentrate on their card and, as if by magic, the chosen card rises from the SKETCH of the deck! Truly an unbelievable sight. The sketch is then torn from the pad and given to the spectator to keep!"
that would be great, i think

Cardiograph is amazing on stage. I've seen it performed, and it blows people away. But, it also's costs around $125

Mine's broken, but having performed it a few times, I tell you it got me a standing ovation.

A home made version of Cardiographic isn't hard to make. Just build one yourself.

i recently saw ted outerbridge preform live on stage, and he did one card trick that was great. I'll try to recount as best as to my abilities:
-He asked a spectator to come up onto the stage
-He had his wife walk accross the stage holding a large poster with his prediction (queen of hearts) drawn on it
-the wive then stands beside beside ted, with the face of the poster facing away from the audience
-He then took out a deck of cards and shows them to the audience. We see that every single card in the deck is queen of hearts, but the spectator that is on the stage doesnt see the faces of the cards.
-Everyone laughs alot as he talks about how this is his hardest, sleight of hand based trick
-He then fans out the cards and has the spectator touch one
-He gives the card to the spectator to hold and see
-He then recaps, excluding the part about every card being the queen of hearts.
-He asks the spectator to yell out his card on the count of three
-1...2....3....
-"KING OF CLUBS"
-intire audience is dumbfounded
-Teds wive flips over the prediction, showing the king of clubs

it was just great
hilarious throughout
and amazing how the spectator managed to pick a king of clubs out of a deck with only queen of hearts

Sounds like the McCombical Deck to me.  Great effect.

I have an effect that I made from some of those huge card decorations you find at party shops. It's called "Jumbo Monte" and it's in the Wizards' Journal #6 on my site.

The routine is geared for kids, who like to yell out where they think the missing card is, but it can also be toned down for adults. You can also use those jumbo cards for other stage magic effects.

Using some blank face jumbo cards, I made a jumbo Color Monte that works just as well with Jumbo cards as it does with regular sized cards.
