Brilliance In Action

Here, I want to see posted videos of the greatest magic effects, acts, performances, etc. that you have ever seen. Also, explain WHY you think it is so brilliant and how you felt watching it for the first time.

Here is mine... John Carney: The Thirteenth Victim- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQ8ci2C-z0&feature=channel_page

Arguably the best presentational premise for a "Coins Across" style effect in existance. It is also brilliantly funny, well executed, and EXTREMELY entertaining.

It's actually not a "Coins Across" it's based on a different routine. Anyone have any idea where it's from?

Hmm, I honestly do not know.

The routine is based of Silent Mora's (if we can believe the old books) taught to Vernon, then to Miller, passed to Riser and Thompson, championed by Roth (who uses a Marlo move- of all people- to improve the effect).

Other names could be mentioned, including Walsh.

I think Vernon actually credited Sach's Sleight of Hand. The addition of the net was based on a Silent Mora idea.

Both Roth and Thompson use the Marlo move.

Only after Roth directed Johnny to it.  But, that's basically it.

p.s.
You might be right about the Sachs.  My bad.

John Carney is a modern master, his magic and presentational skills are virtually seamless.

And I believe the Sach credit is correct.

Tommy wonders socked coins is, in my opinion, one of the best coin routines ever
