What are your opinions on this new craze? To me, personally, I find it to be an ego booster. Sure, I also find many XCM flourishes quite beautiful and can certainly appreciate them, but I feel it demeans other magicians who choose note to do such flourishes. Also, pride and ego are a huge issue. Now, teenagers boast to have mastered some sort of flourish in a matter of hours, which I personally find to be a load of complete bull****.

XCM is useless.
To a spectator, XCM represents nothing. If you are a magician, of course you can do that - you're a magician aferall.
XCM may be impressive to some magicians who know that it's difficult, but how often do we work on our own?
Verdict: Don't waste your time on it. I've been working restaurants and strolling events for a long time using mostly cards, and I've never found need to do any XCM work.
