What do you love the absolute most about magic? If you could eliminate everything except for one thing, what would it be?
Mine would be just picking up a deck of bikes and getting together with other magicians at a restaurant or something. There's something about the feeling of milkshakes, new decks of cards and magic theory that I love when I do this. A couple of times I've done this with Ben, not serious work or anything, but I love the feeling of it.
What about you?
PS. NExt week, me and Mike have scheduled a jam session at "Neighbours", a restaurant near us, which is appaerntly the perfect place to jam according to Mike- nice inside, warm, great food and best of all, they sell bikes!

Milkshakes? What are you, a sock-hop loving teenybopper?
Anyways, for the love of magic... I love a damn good session now and again, ESPECIALLY with ze Train. Great learning experience. _________________ Michael Kras

And what the hell is a sock hop? And why can't people like milkshakes without being teenyboppers?! _________________ "I lost a bundle of hundred dollar bills in an elastic".

| i like sessioning, sure, but "If you could eliminate everything except for one thing, what would it be? " No way would it be sessioning. I would elinimate everything but performance. I would stop learning, provided that was the price i had to pay to continue performing. The fact that you would rather talk about a perform art then perform it is... odd to say the least. |

I was sort of counting that people would exclude performing, its the most obvious one.
And if you don't like sessioning that much, you obviously haven't had a SERIOUS jam session before (or at least not with the Train) _________________ "I lost a bundle of hundred dollar bills in an elastic".

First, thanks you two- makes me feel warm inside.
So, I'll let something out of the bag- I have an invite only group for young magicians. To get in the group you have to be between drinking age (since the events tend to happen at pubs) and 30ish.
We meet once a month, talk magic, show tricks, and perform. It's a lot of fun.
What would I keep? I'm not sure. I love spending time on my own, thinking/developing/studying. I also love time sharing my own ideas, and seeing others. And I love performing for laypeople OR magicians.
But there's a high I get, that's incomparable when I perform my own material, developed over jam sessions and perfected through private practice, for people. So, can I keep those, and get rid of the BAD stuff?
