|
|
Friends,
I am close to being 15 years old and for my birthday, I am looking to get s few new magic books. I am already set of Totally Out Of Control by Chris Kenner and PRISM By Max Maven, and am looking for one more to make my birthday complete. However, so many books and not enough time to look through them all. Any recommendations? They are greatly appreciated!

Very pricey book though isn't it? Or am I thinking about something else? _________________ Michael Kras

Pure Effect: Direct Mindreading and Magical Artistry.
It's simply one of the best books ever written about close-up mentalism and an approach to performing close-up magic. The book is split into three sections:
Practical - deals with making contact with your audience, combining magic and mindreading, working from spectator's perspectives, new approaches to classic effects and taking chances.
Magical Artistry - three extraordinarily difficult card effects that exemplify the title of this section
Direct Mindreading - this is the bread and butter of the book. It covers the Invisible Compromise theory and an approach to mindreading, communicative subtleties, what real mindreading should look like, four of Derren's most infamous close-up effects and two psychological card forces. _________________ Click here to check out my brand new Ebooks!

| So, are you 15 now? And, if so, what did you get? |

Yes, I am 15. I got a copy of Prism so far which is an excellent book full of ingenious thinking. Highly recommended. I will also be picking up Totally Out Of Control by Chris Kenner next.
