I haven't been on magic canada in AGES so I thought it was time for me to post about what ive been doing lately. Lately, I have been EXTREMELY into stage and somewhat parlour magic, as I have a somewhat mentor, who is a professional. He goes to me and Mike's magic club and works with my mom (don't even start with the jokes), and is a pretty cool guy. ANyway, he lent me a VHS tape called "Jeff McBride The Commando Act" which is an approx. 25 minute act, all to music, with an intro using a vanishing cane and some other stuff, then a rope act, then a rope and g act, then a linking ring act, and a mouth coil act (i never thought mouth coils could take up almost 8 minutes of show!). It is absolutely AMAZING, so useful and is a great thing to know. You can tweak certain things, add or subtract whatever you want and make it your own. I encourage you to check around on ebay and such and try and find a copy, as it is extremely useful. I love the bit about ring on rope (i have a vid of part of it on my youtube account, www.youtube.com/ReubenGazer).
