Hey all,

Alright, so these are desperate times for Magicanada... and desperate measures may be called for. I've received emails from Ellusionist proposing a partnership between Magicanada and themselves... I'm hesitant to do this and request your opinion on the matter.

One one hand, it could bring in a larger amount of regulars... on the other hand, they might not be the right KIND of regulars if you get what I mean.

Let me hear ya!

What do they mean by "partnership"? If they're offering to buy you out, take the money and don't look back.

If they want to bring more members on board, you have nothing to loose. I think you're averaging two posts a week. Besides, anything's better than the unintelligible ramblings of Ben Train.

LOL true enough.... no, they're not looking to buy me out, they're looking to advertise and bring in more members.

What have we got to lose though? A lot. We may lose the more private discussions and more intelligent discussion... who knows what kind of members Ellusionist would bring in?

What would we have to give in return?
I cant imagine Ellusionist would advertise for us with out us giving anything in return.
We all know we need more members, but is this the best way? I dont mean that as a rhetorical question, is there a better way to bring this forum back to life?

The conversations here aren't that private and aren't that intelligent. You have nothing to lose and only something to gain.

Make sure you get something from the partnership though. How are they planning on bringing you new members (and why- they have their own forum already...)?

My thoughts exactly Ben. Why bother bringing their members over here? That's bad for their own forum. Something about this is goofy.
