Hi.

My name is Joe Williamson (18, UK), but I normally go by the name of Huruey on internet forums. I've been doing magic for 1.5 - 2 years now, but I'm prepared to admit that I haven't had as much performing experience as I would have liked. It's largely stayed among family and friends, but I am keen to expand and progress with my magic.

I have been interested in computing since I was about 11, which started with computer graphics and web design. I programmed my first game of pong when I was 14, and now that I am 18, I've got a gap year job as part of a software development team in Cambridge, and after that I'll be off to York to do a Master's Degree in Computer Science. I also play guitar.

I think my new interest in magic largely spawned from the creativity involved. Having dabbled in magic a bit as a child, I understood a few concepts, and went about creating my first trick before I even realised I was that interested in magic, before any kind of introduction to the global magic community. It was a fun little trick, nothing special, whereby a blank eraser has a brand logo and some text drawn onto it, and with a wave of the hand, it has become that brand, with the logo and text factory inked onto it. The method was flamingly obvious, but it looked aright, and everyone in the class enjoyed. Yes, I came up with it during a maths lesson, but I feel this to be where my magic journey began.

Anyway, I guess I'll be seeing you around. Very Happy

Joe
