Got up early, went to the airport. Took six hours to get to San Fransisco from New York, and I watched 3:10 to Yuma on the way there.  I love that movie.

Got to San Fransisco at about 1, got to Foster City (a city with an amazing wild west history, and possibly the city where Erdnase is buried!), then hung out until Spencer and Ricky got in.  We met up with Theron Schaub, went to his place, and crashed.

The next morning the Buck twins met up with us for Tia food, and then we did what all normal human beings do- we went out and bought beer, cigars, and cupcakes to celebrate Dai Vernon's birthday (he turned 115).

The Convention started with a bang.  I met several guys from the Cafe (like Micky and Andy!) and from TSD and The Pebble (hi Jay).  Steven Youell lectured and was so much fun to watch- as always.

Then we got a bunch of people together and went to dinner.  Chris Brown stole the show with his beatboxing, and people we're going ga-ga over Dan and Dave's Pixel.  I wasn't sure if I should download it, because I assumed the getting-into part was complicated and would look stupid.

Nope.

It looks AMAZING.  You pick a card.  Lost in the deck.  Deck's wrapped with a rubber band.  Placed on table.  Without touching anything the card penetrates visibly.  It's the hottest shit I've seen in a long long time.

Do yourself a favor- get it.

Jess Fineberg was here, and we had a little jam session (he's a clever dude) then, at about 4:30, we crashed.  Both Chris and I were laughing that Jay, who's in the marines and a tough SOB, need to the good couch AND the only blanket.  What a pansy!

Alright guys, I'll keep you updated.  Today is a full day of lectures, and they're all good ones.

Talk to you later!
Ben
